Jay Carlon & Micaela Tobin
Dancer and choreographer Jay Carlon and composer and vocalist Micaela Tobin present TALAGA, an iterative performance practice that brings people together for shared learning. The event combines performance, conversation, and food in a relaxed setting designed to explore unique cultural perspectives and lived experiences. Carlon's work, which has been recognized with the Ellis-Beauregard Foundation's Choreographer Award, focuses on shared healing and the exploration of post-colonial identity, ancestry, and the complex queer and Filipinx experience in relationship to site and space.
