Gilsland Farm Volunteer Work Day

Participants will spend the afternoon helping to rebuild a section of fencing designed to protect the eroding bank of the West Meadow. Volunteers will haul materials, demolish the existing fence, dig holes for new posts, and construct a more sustainable structure. The work involves hiking approximately a half mile while carrying up to 20 pounds and using hand tools such as post diggers, shovels, hammers, and power drills. Maine Audubon will provide all necessary tools and water for bottle refills.
