McCoy Mrubata & Gary Wittner
South African jazz legend McCoy Mrubata and Maine guitarist Gary Wittner mark twenty years of musical partnership in this special performance. Mrubata, a recent recipient of the South African Music Association's Lifetime Achievement Award and Kennedy Center International Arts Gold Medal, brings his saxophone and compositions blending jazz with traditional South African music. Wittner, a Kennedy Center Jazz Ambassador and Fulbright Specialist, contributes his guitar expertise and original compositions. The two musicians have been performing together since 2006 across both South Africa and the United States.
